<itunes:summary>Welcome Dr. Judith Van Ginkel to this Girlfriendology podcast!
Today's guest Dr. Judith Van Ginkel defines a "life lived to its fullest." In fact, we could talk with this Girlfriendology podcast guest for an entire series.

So today, we're going to talk to Dr. VanGinkel about one, small, but very tasty slice of her life - girlfriends - and in particular, how they provided the inspiration for her popular book, Life Begins and Ends with Girlfriends.

[caption id="attachment_1702" align="alignleft" width="200" caption="Life begins and ends with Girlfriends, by Judith Van Ginkel and Betsy Kyte Newman"][/caption]
First, some background on our Girlfriendology podcast guest. Dr. Van Ginkel has a distinguished career as a champion for womenrsquo;s and childrenrsquo;s health and for supporting program initiatives with sound research. She is presently professor of pediatrics at Cincinnati Childrenrsquo;s Hospital Medical Center and president of Every Child Succeeds (ECS), an $8M home visitation program she spearheaded with three founding partners: Cincinnati Childrenrsquo;s Hospital Medical Center, United Way of Greater Cincinnati, and the Hamilton County Community Action Agency/Head Start.
ECS is a regional prevention program that is based upon the knowledge that early brain stimulation is critically important for a childrsquo;s long-term development. The program serves first-time, high-risk mothers and their infants from the prenatal period until the child is three years old.
During the first nine years of operation, Every Child Succeeds has served more than 13,700 mothers and babies with over 268,000 home visits. A unique feature of ECS is the combination of outstanding service delivery with extensive and robust research. Excellent program operation and outcomes are documented and analyzed through the eECS web-based evaluation system and the ECS business-oriented, continuous quality improvement strategies. ECS receives national recognition on the front page of the Wall Street Journal, in the New York Times and Pediatrics and as a recipient of the National American Hospital Association NOVA award.
An innovative strategist and leader, Van Ginkel has been instrumental in establishing public policy on social service issues and health care. Examples include obtaining funding for a biomedical incubator at the University of Cincinnati that is creating products for the commercial market, chairing three successful health services levy campaigns, yielding $410 million, and turning around Drake Center, a failing, old established Cincinnati institution for long-term care.

In this podcast for women, Judy talked with Girlfriendology about her book and the wonderful lessons of girlfriends. Thanks for your great girlfriend insight!

<itunes:summary>Coming up: Inspiring Girlfriendology Contest Winners!
It seems like Halloween was just coming up and all of a sudden it's Thanksgiving. Where DOES the time go?

Every month we request your girlfriend stories to inspire all of us to spend more time with and to appreciate our girlfriends. You never let us down and constantly amuse and inspire us. Each month the top five girlfriend stories win a $10 Starbucks gift card to take you and your girlfriend out for coffee on Girlfriendology. The top winner also receives a Girlfriendology Journal. Which, by the way, is the perfect place to journal or even scrapbook your girlfriend adventures, gratitude and thoughts.

On this "special edition" Girlfriendology podcast, we're going to be reviewing the winning entries from the Girlfriendology October contest. Fall is "especially special" nbsp;-nbsp; so we asked you to share some of your best girlfriend autumn memories of the past - that includes Halloween tales - and to share how you celebrate Halloween with your gal pals.

We got some great responses - so lets get started.

Here in November, we're focusing on being thankful for our girlfriends. Looking forward to Thanksgiving, we'd love to hear your stories on why you're thankful for your girlfriends - friends from your childhood, school, work, neighbors, women you've met through other friends - the female friends have made a difference in your life.nbsp; And, in December, we'd love to share your stories on special gifts that you've given or received from your best friends. Or just tell us why their friendship is a gift to you.

Share your stories by e-mailing them to contest (at) girlfriendology (dot) com, or call 206-202-9005 and share your story via voicemail. Remember to include your contact information on the call.

November is all about Thanksgiving - a great time of year to show your girlfriend gratitude. Share your personal stories about how you do that with Girlfriendology and we'll all inspire more women!

And just as a general shout out to all you listening - we love to share your girlfriend ideas, inspiration and info on Girlfriendology. There's something you know that we don't! Whatever it is, share it through info (at) girlfriendology (dot) com

So girlfriends, that's a wrap for this Girlfriendology podcast. Thanks to all of you who participated in the October contest - we loved all the stories you shared.

For more girlfriend inspiration, check out our archive of podcasts featuring interviews with a diverse group of amazing, inspiring, high-energy women.

And make it a point to stop by Girlfriendology.com on a regular basis for more inspiration, appreciation and celebration of girlfriends.
Thanks once again to all who participated in the October contest, and once more, congratulations to the winners - Becky, Barb, Lynne, Cheryl and Vickie!
And with that, the holidays are upon us.

Next time on the Girlfriendology podcast...well, if you've listened in for any length of time you'll know that I firmly believe that life begins and ends with girlfriends.

DR. JUDITH VAN GINKEL was way ahead of me on that one, and latched onto that thought as the title for her very popular book - you guessed it - Life Begins and Ends With Girlfriends.

Dr. Van Ginkel is presently professor of pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, and president of Every Child Succeeds. Covering her list of life's accomplishments could take an entire podacast, so we're going to focus on her book and her perspectives on the power of girlfriends.

This is a not-to-be-missed Girlfriendology podcast - so tune in!

There's still time to share your appreciation for friends in our November contest. There are great prizes to be had, so send in your great girlfriend stories to contest (at) girlfriendology (dot) com or call 206-202-9005 and leave your story via voicemail. Make sure and include your contact information. Also, we're looking for women to share ...</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Meet cowboy author LINDA LAEL MILLER.

Today we're going way out west to talk to one of the most prolific authors I've ever met. Over 25 years since first being published, Linda Lael Miller has written over 80 best-selling books from romantic westerns to vampire stories, historic novels to paranormal romances. She's won literally dozens of awards and has a global audience of fans who love her characters and continuing tales.

But, as she tells us in this Girlfriendology podcast, her true love is westerns - current day or historic. She grew up as the daughter of a town marshal and is an avid horsewoman. And, her grandmother told her stories of how Jesse James stayed a night in her barn, and how she heard the shots when the Dalton Brothers tied to rob the bank in Coffeyville Kansas.

Linda Miller grew up in her stories.

Linda's newest book, A Mckettrick Christmas, is a wonderful historic story out just in time for the holidays!

And today, we get to come along on her adventure, to find out about this prolific writer who inspires us not only with her stories and talents, but with her scholarship program. As she believes:
Educate a woman, and countless generations to come
will benefit from the investment

Thatrsquo;s Linda Lael Millerrsquo;s philosophy and what inspired her to launch her Linda Lael Miller Scholarships for Women a few years ago. Now, each year, Linda encourages women who want to improve their lot in life through education to apply for scholarships that she personally finances.

Lindarsquo;s scholarships are awarded annually to women who are 25 years or older, non-traditional students who have a difficult time finding scholarships for which they qualify. As in previous years, the scholarship funds may be used not only for tuition and books, but also for childcare, transportation and other expenses not covered by traditional scholarships.

A talented speaker, Linda donates all the honoraria from her engagements to her scholarship fund. If you are interested in booking a speaking engagement for your organization, contact Linda through Nancy Berland Public Relations, NBPR@nancyberland.com, 800-308-3169.

<itunes:summary>It's Fall girlfriends! Which, in my humble opinion, is a GREAT season to make some fun plans with your gal pals. nbsp; And, it's a perfect time, on this Girlfriendology podcast, to celebrate friendship with your stories from your September Girlfriendology Contest submissions.

We asked for your fall or Halloween stories with your girlfriends ... but, to be honest with you, girlfriends are girlfriends and like to share stories, no matter the season, so we'll share any stories you care to share about your favorite female friends.

But first, just a quickie reminder that we have an article or two on Girlfriendology.com about fun fall festivities for you and your favorite female friends to share! Visit Girlfriendology.com and check out those ideas as well as fall gifts for girlfriends!

If you're new around Girlfriendology, let me quickly plug our monthly contests. Each month we ask YOU to share YOUR stories about the wonderful women in your life who you call "girlfriend."

The top five stories win $10 Starbucks gift cards to take the winner and a girlfriend out for coffee on Girlfriendology. The overall top winner also receives a Girlfriendology journal. And we share as many stories as possible through the podcast so you can be inspired by other women's friendships and stories.

Your stories are such a treat at Girlfriendology; we love to hear from you and get inspired through the stories of your friendships. Funny or memorable, touching or tragic, we are always reminded to be grateful for our girlfriends after sharing these stories.

Have a girlfriend whose friendship means the world to you?

What girlfriend has gone out of her way to take care of you when you needed it, or someone who's been there for you, when no one else was?

SHARE that story!

Your stories will inspire others and that starts a chain reaction of women appreciating their girlfriends. Wouldn't that create a happier, fun, friendly, compassionate world?!

Love that!

So, girlfriends, let's dive into the inspiring women's stories that we received in our September Girlfriendology Contest:

<itunes:summary>Do you have a girlfriend who is dealing with breast cancer? A sister, Mother or friend? As the most frequent cancer among women in the U.S., with over 2 million breast cancer survivors, so many of us have friends and family dealing with this terrible disease. As a girlfriend, it's tough to know how to be a good friend during this time.

To help us understand this situation, I invited TAMI BOEHMER to share her advice. Tami is a breast cancer survivor whose friends and family have shown incredible support for each other while going through a very disruptive time in life. And I asked Tammy to give us the insight into life as a breast cancer survivor so we can all get past the awkwardness or uncomfort and be there for our friends, like we know they'd be there for us. Tami has some great advice for being friends with any women dealing with any cancer or serious condition.

Tami, her husband Mike and daughter Chrissy "Keep the Positive Energy Flowing" on their family blog - read it for more about Tami and her great insight and positive energy. Tami is collecting stories about amazing things accomplished by cancer survivors, so please send her your stories.

Thanks Tami for the insight you shared! See our recent press release on how to be a friend to a girlfriend with breast cancer - written with Tami's great advice and assistance. (Thanks again Tami!)

<itunes:summary>Are you a baby boomer woman?
Our guest today is the Founder of the National Association of Baby Boomer Women. With her finger on the pulse of this spirited generation, she dedicates her time to creating opportunities that inspire women to explore their passion and live life to the fullest.

<itunes:summary>Meet KATHLEEN REID, author of "A Page Out of Life." Kathleen is a brilliant storyteller who reaches women with the intertwining stories of entertaining and touching characters. And, she introduces to her wonderful characters in this Girlfriendology podcast interview.

In fact, here's a little overview:
When frazzled mother of four Ashley Gates lets her best friend drag her to a meeting of the local scrapbooking club, she's amazed at the way old photos and mementoes can bring vivid color to sepia-toned memories. Among the surprisingly diverse group is Tara, a single grad student whose search for love, like her relationship with her absentee father, has only brought her heartache - and some funny dating stories. Then there's Libby, a semi-retired teacher who thought she'd spend her golden years taking cooking and photography classes - not as the town pariah after her son is charged in a corporate scandal. And as Ashley copes with a husband whose love for her fluctutates with her weight, she comes to depend more and more on her scrapbooking sisters. Only together can they face earth-shattering revelations and emotionally unavailable men - and figure out their futures, while artfully commemorating their pasts.
Whether you're a 'cropper' (scrapbooker) or not, you'll find friends among these women and the wonderful way that they share their lives through scrapbooking and sharing.

Join us as we talk with Kathleen Reid on this wonderful podcast just for women! Thanks Kathleen for chatting with us!

AND, if you'd like to win a copy of Kathleen Reid's "A Page Out of Life" leave a comment about scrapbooking, your girlfriend-sisters or why you'd like to have a copy of this great women's fiction.

Why is money such a taboo subject? We'll talk about the intimate details our lives (sometimes TMI!), but we girlfriends rarely talk about finances. How much we get paid, save, owe, invest - all dirty little secrets that cause the most stress in our lives. And, this avoidance creates feelings of intimidation and lack.

Add to that the current economic status. Recent research shows that women are taking on the majority of stress regarding financial conditions. In fact, one in three women rank themselves as EXTREME on the stress meter regarding the recent events on Wall Street and the world.

Hmmm ... I wonder what girlfriend could help us reduce that stress ... Meet JUDITH STEPHENS, MBA and Money Management Strategist and Executive Consultant. As a financial and business development expert, she explains financial terms and concepts in ways that make them meaningful, tangible, and real to all girlfriends. Through her business, Yes to Financial Fitness, she eliminates jargon and makes learning about money and business a fun, enjoyable and profitable process. She loves working with business owners and professional women who appreciate the importance of investing in themselves and in their future.

Judith, aka: The Money Lady, shares with us in this Girlfriendology Podcast about the feelings of lack, intimidation and confusion when it comes to us and money. And she keeps us focused on positive energy and positive financial growth.

So, listen in and learn. Then, get together with a group of girlfriends and talk about what you're going through and how you can better understand and implement financial plans. Learn together and take charge of your finances. Just getting with your girlfriends will relieve stress, plus you'll remove those financial worries. Go for it, girlfriends!

And check out Judith's site and blog. Nice to know 'the Money Lady,' isn't it?!

<itunes:summary>When was the last time you said "I'm sorry" - and really, REALLY meant it? And, do you remember the last time someone said it to you?

Regret and forgiveness may not be trendy, as we float through life as the 'center of the universe,' but shouldn't they be? Aren't they at the core of friendship, respect and kindness?

Project Forgiveness is an online venue to post expressions of regret and expressions of forgiveness in the hope that these actions will translate into actual forgiveness between individuals. It's a great movement to recognize our regrets and ask for forgiveness, and has inspired men, women, teens and kids in posting things for which they're sorry. Join us in this Girlfriendology podcast as we talk with Ilya Welfeld, of the National Jewish Outreach Program (NJOP) and Project Forgiveness, as she helps us understand the importance of forgiveness.

Ilya, thanks so much for sharing the Project Forgiveness story with us today.nbsp; From simple messages from kids to profound confessions from adults, it's an amazing reminder of the strength of regrets and the amazing power of forgiveness. That's a great topic for girlfriends - on identifying our regrets and feeling forgiveness. Thanks for reminding us of this powerful lesson.

<itunes:summary>Military Blogger, Army Wife, WAHM and Social Media Manager, TAMMY MUNSON is all about connections. She connects military wives with each other through blogs and clients with social media solutions. And, using her social media skills, she helps others connect through her podcast - The Podcast Divas (with her girlfriend Wendy), as well as her support of other women in the blogosphere, on Twitter and all over the Internet.

But, at the core of things is her life at home as a military wife. Household6 is the official military term for a stay-at-home wife and a title she embraces. She supports her husband and the troops with pride and dedication. And, bringing that connector side of her, she also supports her fellow Household6 girlfriends through sharing updates and communication tools, and through Parentzone.org.

We understand the bond of military troups - they go through extraordinary events together. But, being social and more open with our emotions, I've wondered how military wives and girlfriends have supported each other. Tammy shares about that community and how they really do support each other. And she shares how social media is connecting these women and all online women.

Listen in as Tammy connects with us and shares an insight into Household6 and the world of military girlfriends. Thanks Tammy! We're glad to have connected with you!

I love NYC. The energy, the crowded streets, the shopping, restaurants, theatre, Tasti D-Lite - LOVE IT. And I love it most when I have someone to share it with me. (Like my friend Patty who loves NYC as much as I do!)

AMANDA HOFMAN loves NYC too and she loves to explore her great town. But there's a reason she loves it so much. She founded "Urban Girl Squad" - a group of women who get together to meet friends and enjoy their vibrant city. They've done cooking lessons and salsa dancing, explored restaurants and wine tastings.

All these things are a fun way to get to know NYC, but that's secondary to getting to know other women in NYC and making friends. Thanks to Amanda, women are connecting, learning together and making a big city seem not so big.

Listen in as we meet Amanda Hofman, this ambassador of friendship and fun in NYC!

There is something amazing that happens when women share ideas. We get energized, we laugh, we are completely ourselves and we learn from each other. As girlfriends, we know we can trust each other and each other's advice.

Gigi Garner learned this through her childhood. Daughter of tv/movie star, James Garner, Gigi grew up with some of Hollywood's elite - like girlfriend Jamie Lee Curtis. She made friends with girls and then women in the industry as well as her sorority. So, she decided to gather her girlfriends for some great advice - and share it with all of us in her new book, Girl Talk: Celebrities and Extraordinary Women Share Secrets. This wonderful book is like a GNO with your BFFs! From Naomi Judd to Joan and Melissa Rivers, a teacher to a traveler, women share all kinds of tips and advice on everything from fashion to cleaning, traveling to cooking.

You know that 'something amazing' that happens when women share ideas, that we talked about? Well it definitely happens in Girl Talk. Read it and you'll learn girlfriend advice that will make your life better and ideas to share with your girlfriends. Listen in to this podcast for some of Gigi's famous advice.

Peggy knows how to handle all kinds of situations with grace and etiquette and today she's talking with us on National Thank You Day - Sept. 22nd and the importance of saying 'Thank You.'

Listen in - you'll be thankful you did! And we're thankful that Peggy was so kind to share some time with Girlfriendology. THANKS PEGGY!

A nice gesture. A kind word. A helping hand.

Sometimes, these are the things that make all the difference in our lives. merci Finest Assortment of European Chocolates, in collaboration with the Emily Post Institute, is excited to kickoff the second annual National Thank You Day! National Thank You Day hopes to encourage you to recognize everyday acts of kindness by offering a sincere thank you - in any form - to all those whose good deeds have gone a long way to help or inspire you.

And, thanks Merci for sending us chocolate for our National Women's Friendship Day celebration!

<itunes:summary>It's a big holiday here at Girlfriendology! Sept. 21 is National Women's Friendship Day and we're busy girls! We're hosting parties, writing articles for About.com and Sparkpeople.com, doing guest blogs (like for Vicky and Jen, Phyllis Dobbs, Lifestyle Fitness and more!); and getting some local and national press on the BIG day.

It's easy to get busy and forget about the reason we're so busy. Thankfully, I have girlfriends who remind me why we're celebrating the amazing women we each call our girlfriends, our BFFs, gal pals, sisters and best friends. A few reminders:

A definite BFF of mine is going through some tough times. It's a great reminder that I need to take time away from all my work and the busy-ness to talk with her, spend time together, give her my full attention. A great reminder.
One of our contest winners wrote in with an additional story about a dear friend. I love that she recognizes this special friendship, trusts Girlfriendology to share it and has the need to inspire others. We're all the better for the inspiration she offers:

I am making an effort to invest in my friendships. I have a friendship from when I was 5 years old and moved to the city and met my downstairs neighbor, (another Debbie)!nbsp; Her family has called me Debbie Kay ever since to differentiate us. In Kindergarten we were split apart cause I was a year older, but that didn't stop us.nbsp; When we were kids we enjoyed making huge tents on clotheslines outside. We also started a campfire in her basement in a hub cap!

We drifted apart in junior high as I had moved to a different side of school. Then in high school we were back to hanging out, getting caught for skipping class and both pleading the 5th. We went out and met boys together, got drunk together and all that sassy stuff! She met the father of her oldest son when she was with me! Later on he babysat my little boy!

I met my husband through her and her first husband. Hubby and I were there for her when she was going through her divorce. She "forced me" to call in sick and go to Country Jam in Oshkosh with her the first month of my new job. It was just like being kids again.

No matter how much time passes, we are always friends. Our lives have been connected for over 50 years.nbsp; Debbie is in poor health now. Both of us have grown children, but we still enjoy our hobbies and reconnecting our lives. Life is too precious and so our friendships to just let them wither and die. We have to keep nurturing them to nurture our own souls.
This story is just one of so many that come into Girlfriendology. Some make us laugh, a lot make us cry and all of them make us thankful for the friends who bless our lives.

Listen into this special podcast with the winners from the August Contest as well as our update on National Women's Friendship Day (Sept. 21). Then send us your stories, share your thoughts, call your girlfriends and thank them for the amazing gift of their friendship.

p.s. Here is a fun photo from contest winner Carole with her co-worker and girlfriend Abbie

<itunes:summary>Think you can change the world? Whether you think you can or not, you do. Your actions, or lack of, make an imprint forever by the lives around you, influence the laws and historic events and the lessons that you pass along to the children who will someday take over and start the cycle over again.

I love women who recognize the responsibility and power they have to make a difference in the world. They inspire me by example and word. They challenge me to grow and contribute to others. They give me a model to follow and standard for which to reach.

I met this type of women when I interviewed PAULA CONSTANTINO. A believer in education, Paula started law school in her forties. She practiced for several years in multiple states but, like her bio below states, she felt the need to follow her passion, you guessed it, make a difference in the world.

Her non-profit, 1000 Women Can Change the World, is built around mentoring women all over the world with life lessons that can change their lives. She speaks with Girlfriendology on this podcast with passion and commitment to make those changes and inspires all of us along the way.

Listen in for ways you can contribute and change the world, or just to be inspired to help our another women that you know locally. Together we can make the world a better place - by friendship and inspiration. Thanks Paula!

Paula's bio:
As a woman who fully embraces continuous learning, I started law school at age 40, and believe in continuous learning as a way of life. We are all works in progresshellip; evolving day by day.

Having been admitted to practice law in four states (NY, NJ, GA and MD), I was a trial attorney in New York and as in-house legal counsel for a technology startup in Maryland.nbsp; Working with ldquo;techiesrdquo; taught me not to be intimidated by technology and the internet.

For a short time, I ventured into the world of network marketing where I learned the concepts of motivation and team building.nbsp; Then, I partnered with another woman and brainstorming together, they developed the concept of building an online community or team of women experts to help other women in business.nbsp; When we each went her separate way in May 2006, I started creating the concept and website for Womenrsquo;s Support TEAM ndash; an online one-stop resource for women.

As Founder and CEO, my idea was first to build a web-based resource with women helping other women achieve more success with less stress globally through Mentors, Coaches, digital informational products, affiliate solutions, articles, events, links to resources, and more at www.WomensSupportTeam.com, and then to build a non-profit division.

Womens Support TEAM is all about women supporting women through not only the exchange of practical information but also with online resources to give back to others, embrace fun, pamper themselves, and tap into their creative side.nbsp; These latter sections of the website are still in the formative stage, but they will be expanding in the future.

In January 2008, I launched Find A Coach Online as a division of Womens Support TEAM at www.FindACoachOnline.com and www.WomensSupportTEAM.com/Find-A-Coach.html (for women).nbsp; These websites make it so easy for anyone to find that ldquo;rightrdquo; coach to fit each individualrsquo;s needs to lead them to their own success.

Now, I am following my true passion ndash; the 1000 Women Can Change the World Corporation - this not-for-profit corporation (501(c)(3) (application pending) that I am building with the able assistance of my Board of Advisors. The current Advisory Board members are Linda Billiger of Boardroom Bound; Grace Palmer with Merrill Lynch; Nancy Mills, PR and e-marketing specialist, of Spirited Woman; and Bill Lamond, coach and author whose book Born to Lead features the Feminine Principle.

You may be wondering how I came up with this movement.nbsp; As the product of an extremely...</itunes:summary>

"We're the Smothers Brothers with bosoms, I mean, we're KK and SalGal and we call ourselves the Midlife Gals(TM). We moved in with our mother whom we refer to as The Ancient One, to serve as her caregivers ... reason enough to find an outlet to VENT and DRINK! We're Lucy and Ethel after those deadbeats, Fred and Ricky. We're Laverne and Shirley all grown up and haired over. We're the Golden Girls on mushrooms ... AB FAB from Texas. We're having the time of our lives and want you to join us in our tomfoolery. Join us in dialog about our profane, insane, comedic outlook on just about everything."

<itunes:summary>Did you grow up loving to play games? Enjoy beating your brother at backgammon? Love challenging your sister to Operation? Remember the first time you beat your dad at Monopoly or playing "Go Fish" until you were sent to bed?!

For two sisters, KERRI and PATTI, games were a wonderful part of their childhood. Their love for games continued as they got older, but the number of interesting fun games steadily decreased. Finally, they were left with no games for women that were worthy of inviting the girls over to play. So, what do creative women do when faced with a challenge? They created one!

Kerri and Patti developed a game perfect for playing with your girlfriends, your mom and sisters or college roommates. They create "What's a DAME to do?!" a hilarious game of 'dame dilemmas' and fun answers and insights on what each person would do. It is a sure-fire way to see how well you know each other or to find out new funny facts on your friends.

Through their company, "Games for Dames," Kerri and Patti have plans to develop lots of fun activities for 'dames' and they're even asking for YOUR help. Send in your dilemma and you may be the 'dame' featured on the next edition of "What's a DAME to do?!"

We had the fun opportunity to talk with Kerri (one half of this sister act) about how they came up with this game and their plans for the future. Listen in for more info on this hilarious new activity sure to take your girlfriend get-together to a new level of laughter!

Well, if you're in the mood for more laughter, you'll want to come back next time for our Girlfriendology podcast interview with the Midlife Gals. Two twisted Texan sisters have hit the airwaves for radio, video and podcasts on their hilarious antics and silly thoughts on life. Don't miss this fun conversation with KK and SalGal, the Midlife Gals on our next podcast for women!</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>A kind word, a sincere smile, a nice compliment, a hug, a flower, a phone call for no reason other than to say Hi and see how you are ... there are lots of ways to inspire and show your appreciation for friends. But that's just the first step. From that act of kindness, inspiration can be planted. Inspiration that can grow into treating others better, being more thoughtful, reaching out to a friend or having a new way to make a friend's day.

Each month in our Girlfriendology Contest we get to be inspired by you. Your stories of happy times with friends, special celebrations among girlfriends, or even touching times where you were there for each other through not-so-great times are priceless and treasured. So, it is always a pleasure to hear from you and to relay your stories in this monthly podcast compilation of girlfriend stories submitted. Always a pleasure.

Here's several stories submitted by YOU for the July Girlfriendology Contest. Every one is a winner in our book! And with 50 prizes available in July, we received lots of great stories that we have the honor of sharing in this podcast.
