Ubuntu girlfriend! Did you know that I’m me because of you?
This weekend I attended an interfaith event with my girlfriend. She’s Jewish and I’m Christian* which was exactly the dynamics of the event – a ‘Jewish troubadour and a Franciscan minstrel’ are traveling the world this year with the message of PEACE for all people, regardless of our faith or beliefs. (Their program is Song and Spirit.)
One element they shared immediately appealed to me. They introduced us to the African word ‘Ubuntu‘ which they defined at “I am because you are.” (I love when things happen and I instantly know I have something to share with you on Girlfriendology!)
