Yeah! KRIS RADISH, our favorite bestselling author, is back for our special 100th BlogTalkRadio show!
You never forget your first (or so ‘they’ say!).
Kris Radish, bestselling author of great women’s fictions (& some non-fiction!) has written GREAT books that always introduce us to fun friends and strong women. I fell in love with ‘The Elegant Gathering of the White Snows‘ several years ago and decided to be brave and ask her for an interview. She responded, “Sure babe, let’s talk.” That kind offer from a busy, successful author was not taken lightly. Because of her offer to speak to me, we started doing podcast interviews with inspiring women. (Kris has written numerous books and has several coming out soon – we’ll discuss those in our interview today!)

Women’s History Month – Everyday WE are making history!

Everyday women make history.
Even if we’re just making pancakes for cute kiddos, or perfecting our favorite yoga pose. Even if we’re blogging about our lives or spending time with a friend – it’s the history that makes our lives and creates the world we live in – and that others call the ‘future.’
We’re celebrating National Women’s History Month as well as International Women’s Day on Monday, March 8th. So, we’re celebrating women this month – and well, to be honest, every day of every month because we’re the girlfriends who make history and build families, we’re the women who dream dreams and we’re the fabulous females who befriend and support each other. Because, that’s what girlfriends do.

Why a Girlfriendology Book Club? And why this book?

I love when women connect.
I love when a friendship takes hold of us and leaves us different than before it happened. I love when we share, care and laugh. I am giddy when we learn from each other – I think ‘girlfriend advice’ is one of the many blessings of being a female. And, I love how we can share our lives and thoughts in a honest, open environment of acceptance.
That’s basically why I started Girlfriendology and also why we’ve now started a monthly Book Club. It’s an opportunity to meet and learn from each other. It’s an opportunity to connect, laugh together and form a common bond just by sharing our thoughts on a book. Read More »

Valentine’s Day & Madly in Love with ME day – feeling the love!

‘Tis the month of love!
February marks the romantic arrival of cupid, mushy cards and heart-shaped boxes of chocolate. That’s all well and good if we’re in a romantic relationship but is that all that it’s all about?
Really, it’s the month of love – in what should be a year of love and a lifetime of love. We’re blessed with friendship and that’s usually a more common and lasting relationship that warrants chocolate and cards too!
It also brings us ‘Madly in Love with ME day‘ (Feb. 13th) and the chance to celebrate the SWEET relationships we have with our girlfriends. So, here’s this week’s celebration. I patronize nice people.
I eat at their restaurants if I think they’re kind to their employees. I buy products from people I know (like Possets Perfumes and Sweet Libertine). I frequent stores where they make me feel comfortable (like Nest and Casa DeLorenzo).
