What do you do for a grieving girlfriend?
My girlfriend Deana’s BFF passed away last weekend. It was a prolonged situation that they knew would not end well. Peggy, her long-time best friend, had outlived so many medical expert timelines but it finally was her time to rest and feel pain no more. As much as Deana knew it was coming, I could hear the deep sadness in her voice when she updated me as to the situation during Peggy’s final days.
It’s hard to see a friend grieve. It pains me to see a friend in deep, tear-out-your-heart kind-of pain. Not even really knowing Peggy, aside from through Deana’s stories, it made me cry to hear my dear, sweet friend mourn the loss of a girlfriend she talked to daily and who shared her stories and dreams. So sad to see her so sad.
