Giving handmade and/or thoughtful gifts is such a great way to show a friend how much her friendship means to you.
We women know this – a personalized present is much better than receiving an expected gift. We love to be thoughtfully surprised with a gift that says ‘You’re special to me. You deserve a special gift.’
Pinterest has inspired lots of creative, crafty and even DIY gifts that are perfect for girlfriend gifts – everything from jewelry to home accessories, coffee gifts to chocolate, books to bags – and anything else that might brighten a girlfriend’s birthday, holiday or just turn an everyday into a special day. I love to give something so perfect for my friend that it makes her as happy to receive the gift as it did for me to give it to her. I love that feeling of knowing she feels as special as her friendship is to me. And I LOVE that she’ll wear, look at, use, read, (whatever verb!) and ENJOY it as a reminder of our great girlfriendship!

The Best Christmas Gift of All

What was YOUR favorite gift this holiday season?
My girlfriend Tina is a passionate pillow designer. Like a beautiful necklace that ‘makes’ the outfit, Tina creates pillows that ‘make’ a room. She loves fabrics, ribbons, shapes and sizes that sewn together make a statement and create a mood. (Here’s her gorgeous Casa Delorenzo pillows.)
A couple years ago she surprised me with the pillow in the photo. (The orange gerbera daisy is our official ‘friendship flower.’) It’s a perfect example of a perfect gift from a thoughtful friend.

It’s the hectic holidays. How’s your stress level girlfriend?
As a friend, we care about things like the stress in your life. We want to make your life better and to see you happy and with minimal stress. Why? Because we’re your friend!
At the holidays, it’s nearly impossible to be stress-free or even to try to reduce stress. We have parties to attend and give, gifts to buy and wrap, cards to sign and send (& in my case make – what a terrible tradition!), homes to decorate, friends and family to visit, and schedules to juggle. Then there’s the calories consumed and attempts to exercise them back off. The land of the stress-free might as well be on the North Pole because it isn’t to be found in the lives of busy women over the holidays!
