Somewhere in the Atlantic is a BIG ship (the Celebrity Summit) bound for Bermuda. And on the BIG ship, are friends who are enjoying an amazing girlfriend cruise together!
We’re thrilled to come to you from the Atlantic on our way to Bermuda on our girlfriend cruise. Lead by travel director JANET DEVITO, GirlsonaCruise.com, there are wonderful friends enjoying time in the sun, taking classes, dining, drinking and, more than anything, laughing and making memories together.

An Attitude of Gratitude | Tim Sanders & More #SobCon Lessons
May 3, 2011 – 7:01 am
What’s your attitude on Gratitude? Do you show / express/feel girlfriend gratitude?
This past weekend I had one of those experiences that you know will change your life. (I’ll tell you about it below and, yes, it’s about gratitude!)
I attended a conference (SobCon – for Successful Online Businesses) and met some amazing people. One of the speakers was powerful, passionate and purposeful. His message, like I shared in this SobCon recap, was all based on LOVE. One way of showing it is through gratitude – expressed or just felt.
Tim Sanders was raised by his grandmother, Billye, when his mom could no longer care for him. At 54, and caring for her aging mother, she took in a 4-year old and Read More »

The Beauty of Friends | Girlfriends keep us Young!
April 6, 2011 – 8:23 am
Benefits of female friendship: makes women healthier, happier, less stressed, live longer and feel more beautiful.
But, wait a minute … does friendship also help us with anti-aging? Don’t you feel ageless with your girlfriends? When we’re with our friends we feel loved and special, young and powerful. I think that’s pretty youthful.
We’re talking beauty and anti-aging advice with the ‘Anti-Aging Artist’ herself – DIANNE DELREYES, on this Friday’s BlogTalkRadio.com/Girlfriendology show (2-2:30pm ET, 11pm PT). She’s the girlfriend we all want advice from on how to take care of our skin and ourselves to be as young as we feel (when we’re with our girlfriends!). Thanks Dianne for this Read More »

Counting Gifts and Blessings at Christmas
December 22, 2009 – 12:47 pm
Did you ever count your Christmas gifts to make sure your brothers or sisters didn’t have more? I did.
I’d sneak all the gifts out from under the tree to tally who was the leader in the Christmas gift count. Instead of considering what the packages held, it was so important to have at least an equal number of gifts as my sisters.
One area where counting gifts is a good exercise is in the practice of counting our blessings and, as is our mission here at Girlfriendology, taking count of the gift of friendships and the wonderful people who bless our lives. It’s a great way of noting the joys and even the sadness of 2009. It helps us take stock of how our relationships have impacted our year, our state of mind and our lives. Read More »

It’s Thanksgiving – Show some Girlfriend Gratitude
November 25, 2009 – 7:31 am
Call me ‘old fashioned,’ but I remind people to say ‘Please.’ (And welcome the reminder myself if needed.) I prefer ‘You’re welcome‘ to ‘no problem’ when I say ‘Thank you.’ (Don’t even get me started on that one!) And, when I sneeze, I love when even strangers respond with ‘Bless you,’ not ‘Gesundheit.’ These are just common courtesies that show respect and politeness.
At Thanksgiving we have an opportunity to show this respect and appreciation through saying ‘Thank You’ in all kinds of ways to all the people who bless our lives. Read More »

THANKS to my fabulous funny female friends:
To Judi – who’d rather come up with 20 creative reasons why she can’t be creative (because she can!) Thanks for the giggles!
To Jill - who doesn’t have an ‘indoor voice’ for her laughter (which I love!). I cherish our conversations and so enjoy being your friend and the laughter you bring into my life.
To so many of my funny Twitter friends like Kate the Great, Monika and Read More »

Cincy Saturday – Girlfriend Introductions
November 21, 2009 – 6:28 am
My very good friend Judi (on the left in this photo) asked me to put a meeting on my calendar. Always one to forego meetings if not completely necessary and if at all possible, I hesitated – and she knew it. She wasn’t taking ‘no’ for an answer, so, trusting my girlfriend, I went.
She had assembled a group of six or eight women to just meet each other. Women she respects, enjoys and thought would enjoy meeting each other. Read More »

Appreciation – for girlfriend gifts & birthdays
November 13, 2009 – 6:52 am
To be honest, I never really look forward to my birthday.
I enjoy the cards and calls, but would rather skip the addition to my age. And, to continue being honest, I know this is silly (kinda!). I know the numeric value of decades and years isn’t important to the people who are important to me – my friends who love me. I don’t love a friend any less or more because she fits into a higher or lower ‘age category’ than myself. Read More »
