Well, it’s not completely WORDLESS Wednesday, but it is a great reason to feature the beauty of girlfriends!

Wordless Wednesdays – Featuring Favorite Photos of Female Friends
April 11, 2011 – 2:38 pm
Is it just me – or do you also feel more beautiful when you’re with your friends?
Announcing Wordless Wednesdays featuring you and your girlfriends’ photos!
The photo to the right is me with my girlfriends Julie and Anne. (Yes! I’m the one with the BIG ‘friendship flower‘ on my shirt!) We seem to take a lot of photos together whenever we see each other. Why? Because it’s fun when you capture happy times with friends and I always feel more beautiful when I’m with my friends. (Actually, feeling more beautiful is just one of the benefits of female friendship! And friendships keep us young!)
I love taking and seeing photos of friends. Each tells a story of love and laughter, of caring and concern, of support and sincerity.
So, we’re starting a new feature on Girlfriendology – Read More »

Need a little girlfriend time? And maybe some pampering?
Spending time with our girlfriends is perhaps the most wonderful experience of female friendship. The way that we communicate and share is unique to our friendship. We’re exploring lots of ways, during our Month of Friendship, to reconnect with old friends and build into new friendships. Today’s girlfriend advice: get a mani/pedi together.
How is that building into friendships? Well, we girls generally like a little pampering, right? We also all love Read More »

June 20, 2008 – 11:09 am
Moving to a new city is tough. And finding new friends isn’t easy.
I know. I’ve done it over a dozen times. (Can you say various cities in OH, MN, TX, IN, NC, IL, AL, KY, FL and MI?!) And, I know that the biggest thing I miss when I’ve moved is my female friends – so it can be lonely (at first!).
So, a little girlfriend advice for moving and losing/finding female friends.
First, stay in touch with your female friends from where you lived Read More »

Adventures and Travels in Finding New Female Friends
February 11, 2008 – 2:13 am
Do you need more girlfriends? Or feel like you should be a better friend?
My girlfriend Dana connected with several women on a diet website. Soon they were talking, emailing and sharing their struggles and successes together. After several months of their online friendship, they decided to ‘take it offline’ and meet for a weekend in Chicago.
Dana arrived first and nervously knitted away time before her new ‘friends’ arrived. Would she enjoy them in person? Would they get along for the weekend or was this Read More »

Boating along with Ellen, Spending time with a Girlfriend
June 24, 2007 – 3:18 pm
I love spending time with my friends – don’t you?!
My girlfriend Ellen (and her husband, Doug) have a boat and last night we joined them on the Ohio River. Threatening rain, we braved it and went out for an evening together.
As we sat in the back and let the boys drive and talk, we caught up on life. Her cute kids, our work challenges, upcoming travels, fashionable belts and painting our toenails – important stuff! Just things you share when you share life with someone – no matter how often or seldom you get to Read More »
