How many times have we made New Year’s Resolutions that last….well, not very long? We’ve all had great intentions that somehow don’t translate into action.

In Jack Canfield’s book, ‘The Success Principles‘ (which I highly recommend), he tells about a grandmother who upon seeing a car roll over her grandchild, found the strength to lift the car from the child. He talked with her later and she was ‘troubled’ by the incident. She was struck by the realization of all the things she never did because she thought she couldn’t do them.

What are your Three Words for 2011?

Goals -vs- Three Words.
In Eat, Pray, Love, Liz (aka: Julie Roberts) and her friends determined that each city and each person has a defining word. Some of the ones submitted by Girlfriendology readers were ‘creative,’ ‘inspirator’ (I believe that’s a word!), and ‘happy.’
Now at the start of a new year, we’re taking this a step further.

We just talked about how girlfriends make us more creative, now we’re exploring how to make those creative dreams come true – with our girlfriends!
