FRIENDSHIP glenda and girlfriends at blogworldexpoWho are the people who believe in you? Make your smile? Go out of their way to show that they care? Who makes your days and birthdays special?

This past week was my birthday. It’s not necessarily a favorite day of mine, choosing to live in a delusion of about 20 years ago, but thankfully it’s still a day of friends showing that they care.

Women Bloggers, The Blogosphere & Bloggy Conference (We <3 blogs!)

Friendship Speaking at Bloggy ConferenceThe Blogosphere is a wonderful online community of Women.

I’m often amazed at the generousity of the girlfriendships forged between bloggers. Through online communities like Bloggy Moms, Savvy Blogging and Collective Bias, bloggers are finding each other, learning from each other and forming their own ‘tribes.’ It’s an amazing, generous blogosphere of fabulous, smart women.

Girlfriendology & Girlfriends Featured in Anderson University Alumni News

A LONG time ago I went to a small, liberal arts college, Anderson University, in the midwest and am proud to say, I graduated in four years (surprisingly!) with a double major in Marketing and Management. The best thing about my small, liberal arts college in the midwest, without a doubt, was the friendships that I still have to this day and cannot (and do not want to) imagine my life without these friends who have stuck with me for a long time and who I know will continue to do so!

Recently my college alumni news publication, Signatures Magazine, asked for a chance to interview me on being a blogger (and using my business degree – yeah!) and sent a photographer over to take a photo of me for the article. Fortunately some of my great girlfriends (who are also bloggers and work online) were generous enough to be there for the photo too. Well, in some ways ‘yes.’ I’ve learned a ton but still know I have a mountain more to learn. So this blog is in keeping with our philosophy of passing along girlfriend advice, so we can all reach our goals and achieve our dreams (together we’re smarter, stronger and more powerful!).
