I Had Cancer, Help your Friends who have Cancer | BlogTalkRadio, Mailet Lopez
November 17, 2011 – 8:12 am
Sometimes it’s tough to be the kind of friend you’d like to have – especially when your friend has cancer. That goes beyond tough – that’s overwhelmingly painful to see and to know the right thing to do for them. That’s why we need girlfriend advice on how to be a friend to a friend with cancer.
MAILET LOPEZ has been there. She’s been through cancer and has seen the reaction that friends had to this terrible disease. She’s an amazing survivor and founder of ‘I Had Cancer‘ – a social support network for cancer fighters, survivors and supporters.

5 Tips for Hosting a Stressfree Thanksgiving | Tara Ziegmont, BlogTalkRadio
November 11, 2011 – 2:09 pm
It’s less than two weeks until ‘Turkey Day’ and the pre-holiday stress is building in a lot of our homes. How can we actually celebrate this season of gratitude without stressing over all-things-Thanksgiving?
It just part of most of our holidays – the stress from expectations to have big, fancy meals on Thanksgiving, to have a beautiful table and to all act like we’re enjoying every second of the day while many of us are just medicating our stress with tryptophan and maybe some wine.
Thankfully we’ve got just the girlfriend for girlfriend advice on taking the stress out of Thanksgiving.
Meet TARA ZIEGMONT – author of ‘Best Thanksgiving EVER.’ Tara is a blogger, mom and busy woman who decided to re-claim the spirit of Thanksgiving instead of stress by preparing and planning ahead. We’re talking with her on this BlogTalkRadio.com/Girlfriendology show and can’t wait for her great girlfriend advice. And, it starts now, with this great guest blog! (Thanks Tara!)

The people who make you feel special | Friendship, Bloggers & the approaching Holidays
November 7, 2011 – 10:58 pm
Who are the people who believe in you? Make your smile? Go out of their way to show that they care? Who makes your days and birthdays special?
This past week was my birthday. It’s not necessarily a favorite day of mine, choosing to live in a delusion of about 20 years ago, but thankfully it’s still a day of friends showing that they care.
I was out of town at BlogWorldExpo (a GREAT social media conference that I was honored to be speaking at – and fortunately, I spoke on the first day, so I got it over with early!). I returned home today to find a stack of cards filled with birthday wishes from friends and family. I also had a L O N G list of Read More »

Girlfriend Conversations: The Sex Survey
December 6, 2010 – 11:54 am
Do you talk to your girlfriends about sex?
Girlfriendology is taking on ‘girlfriend conversations’ with this week’s anonymous survey on sexual health and activity. We’ll discuss the results, comments and questions on Friday, December 10th at 2-2:30pm ET on BlogTalkRadio.com/Girlfriendology with Pure Romance rep TISA POWELL. Join us in this girlfriend conversation and feel free to share your honest comments in the survey below. (PLEASE – SURVEY FOR WOMEN ONLY!)
Why are we talking about sexuality on a friendship site? Well, here’s a bit more on girlfriend conversations plus we just want to strengthen friendships through empowerment and communication. We’re so lucky to have girlfriends to help us understand ourselves better and to share helpful information.
p.s. Check back at Girlfriendology.com for Tisa’s guest blog this week (with the four kinds of female orgasms!) and watch for Read More »

Our romantic relationships can sometimes come and go, but hopefully – and thankfully! - our girlfriends are there for us through all the transitions.
This week’s BlogTalkRadio/Girlfriendology show (FRIDAY, 2-2:30pm ET / 11-11:30am PT) features an inspiring woman who has girlfriend advice for our friends, and friends of friends, going through or dealing with a divorce. She’s been there, done that and come out of it to inspire other women, like with her following guest blog:
Top Ten Tips for Divorcing Divas:
- Don’t panic. It’s always okay in the end; if it’s not okay, it’s not the end. While divorce might seem like the end of the world, there is a reason for the divorce. So in the “end,” you will have a Read More »

Girlfriendology Update – Remembering Past and Present Friends
November 8, 2010 – 11:43 pm
It’s Veterans Day this week …
The day set aside to remember those in the past and present who have given their lives and limbs, time away from their family and friends, and struggled to stand up for our freedom. That’s pretty powerful.
What’s powerful too are the women in our past and present who share their lives with each other, who support and encourage other women, who make sure we never stand alone. Those are powerful friendships.
It’s important to acknowledge those friends who have had a difference in our lives, who where there for us when we needed them – whether we knew it at the time or not. It’s humbling to consider the women who cared for the women who now care for us – who passed on their legacy of supportive, inspiring women; who taught their daughters the importance of female friendship and now their dear daughters are our dear friends. It’s overwhelming to Read More »
