It’s not easy. Female Friendship. It takes time. Sometimes patience, forgiveness, missing a TV show to spend time talking with her or indulging in some wine, french fries or cookies together. (Thankfully, girlfriends will indulge in calories and spend some time for the sake of friendship – right?!)

I love how women collaborate, how we share ideas and support each other. I know I’ve been blessed by girlfriends who have shared their ‘women’s wisdom’ and helped me make decisions, discover new solutions and, as a result, grow my business. (Personally, I couldn’t lead Girlfriendology without amazing women like Judi, Joanne, Julie – and other friends whose names may or may not start with a ‘J’!)

What’s Your Spring Beauty regimen? What Spring Beauty trends are you seeing?
Spring has sprung, which in my region means allergies have too. We’re all sniffing and squinting – it’s a lovely sight, let me tell ya. 
So, when asked about what Spring Beauty Girlfriend Advice I could offer, I knew the old allergies needed to be tamed to be able to keep mascara on my lashes and not all around my eyes. (I have a tendency of not looking at myself in the mirror a second time to make sure I look okay – gotta get better at that! I’ve gone out with some really strange make-up looks!)
The fine friends at Collective Bias (see below) invited me to explore ways to prepare and shop for Spring Beauty. And, the folks at Allegra invited me to CVS to explore the make-up aisle now without my make-up-impairing allergy issues.

Giving handmade and/or thoughtful gifts is such a great way to show a friend how much her friendship means to you.
We women know this – a personalized present is much better than receiving an expected gift. We love to be thoughtfully surprised with a gift that says ‘You’re special to me. You deserve a special gift.’
Pinterest has inspired lots of creative, crafty and even DIY gifts that are perfect for girlfriend gifts – everything from jewelry to home accessories, coffee gifts to chocolate, books to bags – and anything else that might brighten a girlfriend’s birthday, holiday or just turn an everyday into a special day. How have your Girlfriends influenced your life? How do they impact what you like, think, do?
I had the honor of attending the launch of the Sandra by Sandra Lee home collection in New York City with the Sears and Kmart teams. I’ll cover more about the trip and the cool products in an upcoming blog this week but I have to share the overall experience of meeting Sandra Lee.
