Meet my girlfriend Irene (yes, like in the Hurricane, aka: #HurricaneIrene). Dr. Irene Levine is a Girlfriend EXPERT!
Irene and I become friends through the internet and our common connection of helping women connect with and appreciate their female friends. (She’s the author “Best Friends Forever: Surviving a Breakup with your Best Friend“) This weekend she’s in NYC battling her namesake: Hurricane Irene. (Which, knowing her and how un-hurricane-like she is, is kinda funny for me!)

Spring Outside for #EarthDay | #Picnic11 for the Planet (with your girlfriends!)

It’s Earth Day — it’s time to Spring outside with your friends and family.
In 485 cities today, groups of friends (who probably haven’t even met yet) are going on a ‘Picnic for the Planet.’ Hosted by the Nature Conservancy, these Meet-ups are bringing people together, outdoors to celebrate Earth Day 2011.
As they say: “Picnic for the Planet is a celebration of the planet we live on, the food it provides and the people we share it with. In short, the planet does a lot for us — we should take it out for lunch.”
