TIP TUESDAY #28 – Girlfriend Advice for Beating the Summer Heat?
Here in the mid-west life is good – and hot! We’re heading into August when it really warms up and, in our area of the world, the humidity increases to staggering sweatiness! As I write this, I’m in the lobby of my church where they have a huge space with sofas, free
coffee and free wifi – as well as air conditioning! (We are on fan-mode at home which is one reason my home office is in the not-so-lovely but at-least-it’s-cool basement!)
So, girlfriends, we need your advice. (And isn’t that the great thing about girlfriends – free advice?!) This week’s TIP TUESDAY question is:
How do you beat the heat in the summer? What are your tips for reducing your cooling costs or advice for August?!
Me first. I do find cool places to visit – this lobby, mid-day movies or malls, outside dining. I love having dinner in the shaded part of our deck and getting up early in the morning to walk the dog while it is still nice outside (for him and me).
What advice do you have for our girlfriends? How do YOU deal with the summer heat?

I do the get up early thing too. All outside work is done as soon as I get up. My office is pretty hot as well so if I can I take my laptop to cooler location.
The best tip is so simple: I eat popsicles! The sugar free kind of course because I have to watch those pounds! It cools you right down.
