From Spirituality to Sex – and everything in between!
Girlfriend conversations … When you’re with your best friend or a group of your favorite females, what do you talk about?
I love girlfriend conversations. With our favorite female friends, we can open up to discuss life – right? Not just the surface subjects – like news, weather, sports – but the tough stuff, real topics, honest confessions and helpful discussions.
For example, at Book Club this week, we talked about: food (always!), medical issues, home remodeling, upcoming parties, jobs, jewelry, the TSA, travels, boyfriends and husbands (don’t tell!), sex, more food and … oh! the book. With a girlfriend over breakfast recently, we discussed our pets, the holidays, parents, fitness, spirituality and a bunch about our businesses (the main focus of our gathering).
I bring up these conversations, and especially the two used in the blog post title (sex and spirituality) for a reason.
As friends, we’re free to be ourselves with each other. We have the perfect person to be open and honest with – our BFF or girlfriends. (Do you know how lucky we are? I have men tell me they wish their guy friends could discuss things together – and we do it non-stop!)
As Girlfriendology, we want to be part of the discussion – and we want you to be in it! We’re here to create a place where you’re free to share and discuss. To have a community that supports each other and accepts one another – and where you feel comfortable with others and yourself.
We’re going to create some of those girlfriend conversations over the coming months. To be honest, we’ve stayed away from some topics (back to spirituality and sex) because we wanted all women to feel comfortable and welcome here. But, those topics and all the other ones we talk about are part of who we are and our normal girlfriend conversations.
So girlfriend, let’s talk!
