Celebrating Friendship, Girlfriend Gratitude and Advice
Who’s your go-to girlfriend for solutions? assistance? laughter? a hug?
We all need a friend to call when things are good, when things are bad and even when we’re not sure what they are. A friend who will listen, respond in kindness and support, and be there to make your life better – just by being your friend.
That’s what this Month of Friendship is all about. We’re focusing on ways to make new friends and reconnect with old pals. We’re exploring ways to spend time together, show our girlfriend gratitude and make our friends feel as special as their friendship is to us.
Why? Well, we NEED girlfriends. For a whole host of reasons … we need supportive, caring women in our lives who we can ‘do life’ with. Women who know and accept us, and with whom we can completely be ourselves.
Try the following ways of staying in touch with and fostering new friendships. Then come back and share some girlfriend inspiration with us at Girlfriendology.

BlogTalkRadio.com/Girlfriendology, aka: Great Girlfriend Advice
Does the thought of an 8-5 job cause an immediate rash? Would you rather be creative than go for a traditional’ job? Well, once again, we’ve got just the woman for some great girlfriend advice.
BETHANY MOORADIAN (www.QueenoftheRandomJob.com) has never held a traditional job for longer than nine months. Working as a Mystery Shopper, Virtual Assistant, Housekeeper to Bill Gates and Paul Allen, as well as Ronald McDonald’s Bodyguard and many other odd jobs, she has found unique ways of making ends meet and living her avant-guard passions. Now Bethany spends her time teaching others how to find legitimate work at home jobs and avoid scams through her books and seminars.
We’ll talk with Bethany about how to craft together a creative career and avoid scams and disappointments. Know someone out of a job? Invite them to listen in or share these alternative solutions that just might turn into a full-time career. Join us! THIS FRIDAY 2-2:30pm ET on BlogTalkRadio.com/Girlfriendology.
And, don’t miss …
Last week DANA, of A Slob Comes Clean, shared with us about her life as a ’slob’ and how her blog has helped her take control back of her house. She offered some great girlfriend advice on getting organized as well as examples of how her girlfriends have supported her through this anti-slob journey.
The previous week we had a great interview with KELLY SNYDER, aka: Kansas City Mamas, on being frugal (and couponing) and also generously how to give back to your community. It was a very informative and inspiring conversation. (Even with the cat/dog fight and the crude caller – which prompted the end to our call in questions.)
Wouldn’t it be fun to go on a Cruise — with Your Girlfriends?!
Let’s go girlfriends! We’re planning a cruise to BERMUDA for next Summer. (Which is why I’m already hitting the gym – thanks to #LAfitnessOakley!) We’re excited to work with a girlfriend cruise expert, Janet DeVito on this five-day cruise. So – save the date: June 4-9, 2011. YEAH! Let’s cruise, girlfriends!
Who Inspires You? Show your Girlfriend Gratitude!
She probably could inspire so many other women, if only there was a way to share her story. That’s what we’re asking you to do in October in our upcoming contest. Share about your BFF who is doing an amazing job raising her kids, has made a difference in the world, is dealing with cancer with grace and determination or just has been there for you when you really, really needed her. Think about all the amazing, inspiring women in your life and then nominate them in our upcoming October Contest.
Cincy Girlfriends … Let’s get Happy!
We’re celebrating our Month of Friendship, aka: National Women’s Friendship Month, with a Happy Hour here in CINCINNATI on Monday, September 27th – 5:30-7:30pm. Join us at CHI-NATTI’s in Kenwood/Maderia (actually right off Kenwood on the other side of 71 from Kenwood Mall, 7980 Hosbrook, 45243). Get there early for 1/2 price drinks (until 6pm) and we’ll have some appetizers. And, invite your girlfriends. It’s just basically an excuse to see our great Cincinnati girlfriends!
Inspiration …
“With each true friendship, we build more firmly the foundation on which the peace of the whole world rests.”
Mahatma Gandhi http://ow.ly/2G1K2
Have a fun, friend-filled week girlfriends!
p.s. The photo above is our girlfriends from Cooking With Caitlin. They inspire us with the business they’re building together and how they’re all three such great girlfriends! Check out their #FNI – Foodies’ Night In, Twitter party on Monday’s from 4-6pm ET.

Great site. I’m glad I found it….but, I think I am a terrible girlfriend. Yes it’s true, I’ve done that thing that many other women my age do. I use busyness as an excuse not to form real friendships. Oh, I have lots of surfacy-girl connections, but I realized after reading some of your posts–hey I don’t have a “go to” friend. So, I think I’ll read through a few more of your suggestions and give it a whirl.
Thanks!
Amy
