Nothing says ‘girlfriends’ like some chocolate cake, right?

And what better way to be a better friend than by thoughtful girlfriend gifts?

Well, today’s guest blogger (and this Friday’s BlogTalkRadio guest!), NIKKI BALDERAS thinks chocolate cake or chicken pot pie just might be the perfect girlfriend gift to give (and what girlfriend wouldn’t love it?!). So, here’s Nikki’s ‘girlfriend advice on:

Giving a girlfriend a gift….just because.

Buying for a girlfriend doesn’t always have to be pricey. Sometimes gifts from the heart are the best gifts of all. Remember girlfriends love gifts for any occasion or just because…

1. Bake a delicious dessert. Take a dessert to your girlfriend’s house, kick up your feet, watch a chick flick, and indulge yourself in a delicious Chocolate Cake. What girl doesn’t just love chocolate?

2. Offer to babysit the kids. Is your girlfriend in need of some alone time? Offer to babysit her kids for a few hours so that she can have quality alone time.

3.  Prepare a meal. Think of how tired  you are at the end of the day. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a meal waiting for you when you came home from work? after giving birth to a baby? or a long day with the kids?  A meal in a basket is a fun and frugal idea that any girlfriend would love. The next time you prepare a dinner make a little extra, stick it in a basket, and tie a bow around it. Need recipe ideas? Try Meatloaf Wellington or Simple Chicken Pot Pie, they’re frugal, simple, and delicious.

4. What about giving your girlfriend a beauty/spa basket? While your shopping pick up nail polish, lipstick, bath salts. etc. Many of these items can be purchased for little or nothing at the drugstores. Watch the ads, head over to the drug store, and pick up a few accessories for your girlfriend and yourself!  Wrap them up in a beautiful basket and give them to her…just because…
