Today’s ‘little’ challenge – Make a list of the things you love about your girlfriends. Have they been there for you when others weren’t? Do they give you the only birthday gifts you really like? Do they make you laugh when you want to cry?
What special things do they do to stay in touch? How do they show you how much they care about you? When have they come to your rescue or aid?
And, then what are the little ways that they make you smile? Like the joke they know cracks you up. Does just hearing them laugh make you giggle?
There are dozens, hundreds, countless reasons why we bond with our friends – we have things in common, we share the same sense of humor, we enjoy spending time together, we learn from each other, we just need their friendship. All are the perfect reasons for the wonderful gift of friendship.
That’s it. No more assignments – okay, just while you’re thinking about your friends, make a little quiet commitment to be the kind of friend to them that you’d love to have. Because life really is better together with your girlfriends!
