Daily Inspiration: No Matter What ‘They’ Say
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
It’s day two of a four day juice cleanse for me. (After going to Genesis Today last week and learning about all their products, I’m trying to get healthier – and I’m going to share this knowledge and journey with my girlfriends because I want you to be healthy too!)
It’s a strange discipline – to go without food. I’m not really hungry but I just kinda miss snacking. I feel good and honestly I never thought I could go a day or two without meals, without being really grumpy! (Which I’m not!)
The one thing that helps is knowing that a few of my girlfriends are doing this right now too. I feel like they expect me to make it – and so I will. I don’t want to let them down.
It’s like what Eleanor said above – basically: girlfriend, you can do it! No one can tell you ‘you can’t.’ Whatever ‘it’ is that you want. No matter what ‘they’ say – whether ‘they’ are people or a voice of doubt inside you.
You can do it. (And I can do it for two more days!) And if you ever lose sight of ‘it’, just look to a friend. Never feel inferior – think of what your girlfriends think of you. Because life really is better together with your girlfriends!
