Tis the season of trick-or-treat, carved pumpkins and menacing candy around the house.

In this spirit of Halloween, we thought we’d offer a few ideas for this festival of fear and celebration of candy and costumes.

In our search for women’s Halloween costumes, we found lots of pinup and Playboy outfits – but not a lot of fun disguises for women that didn’t look sleezy! Here are a few ideas for great Ghoul-friend Costumes:

• Put on your best designer wear (including your favorite Manolo Blahniks!), drink a Cosmo and head out on the town as our Sex and the City girlfriends Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte & Samantha. (Credit cards and uncomfortable shoes required.)
• You’ve always wanted to arrive in a convertible, right? Grab your girlfriend and a (toy) gun then head out looking for anyone dressed as Brad Pitt in a denium shirt! (aka: Thelma & Louise!)
• Want to go retro? Like WAY retro? Don your bonnets, ice skates (carried, you don’t have to wear them) and dress up as the women of Little Women. See if anyone knows who’s Meg, Jo, Beth or Amy.
• Drop the theme and just go as bridesmaids. We did this one year with dresses from old weddings or from Good Will. The worse dress (aka: bow on your butt!) the better.
