Where would I be without you? | BJ Gallagher & Girlfriend Gifts
Day 2 of National Women’s Friendship Month – what are you doing today to celebrate?
On our recent roadtrip across the midwest, I took a little time out to visit one of my favorite girlfriend gift shopping sites – Patina, in Minneapolis. My thoughtful girlfriend Terri always buys my gifts there and I love to reciprocate and find unique, perfect presents for my favorite female friends.
The shopping trip was no disappointment! I found a few choice books to give as girlfriend gifts and also some to inspire me for Girlfriendology. One, which could be both a great gift for a girlfriend and an inspiring book for me, is a fabulous book: “Where would I be without you? Life Lessons from Wise and Wonderful Women,” by BJ Gallagher. I’m sure this book will inspire multiple blogs on Girlfriendology and I’d highly recommend it as a girlfriend gift to have on hand (you know – for the gift drawer or closet!).
Visually this book is fun, sunny and just friendly. It shares:
“Where would we be if it weren’t for our women mentors and teachers, friends and family? Mothers, sisters, famous writers and thinkers, artists and inventors, friends and friends of friends all make an appearance in this wise and wonderful book. So let’s celebrate what we know and pass it on!”
I agree – we need to find inspiration wherever we can and pass it on to others. It’s what friends do. I’d recommend this book as a wonderful gift for a friend in celebrating National Women’s Friendship Day, a birthday or a ‘just because’ gift. And as a gift for yourself. Sunny, fun, friendly gifts are wonderful ways to celebrate friends and to appreciate the women in our life who make it better. Or, as author BJ Gallagher puts it:
“Over the years, I have learned from books and newspapers, from movies and TV, from preachers and teachers – but mostly I have learned from other women.”
Thanks BJ!
