You are powerful, you are beautiful
You are! Seriously.
Just ask your girlfriends. They’ll help you see the power and beauty that you possess. They’ll bring you back to your true self and help you see all the amazing qualities that you possess.
In this week’s Girlfriendology newsletter we explore our power and beauty – and our need to have girlfriends help us claim those. If you haven’t signed up for the newsletter yet, please do. (Button floating to the left!) It’s just a weekly dose of inspiration, appreciation and celebration of girlfriends. Isn’t that powerful and beautiful?

Dear Girlfriend,
“When your life is on course with its purpose, you are your most powerful.”
Oprah
My friend Lynn is passionate about ‘her kids.’ For the first day of school this week, as a teacher of 9th grade English, she shared her life purpose and encouraged them to find their purpose in life. How powerful to learn that while you’re young!
At any age, we can find our purpose and claim our power. And, with our girlfriends supporting and inspiring us, we gain momentum on our goals and move closer to reaching our potential.
Make this week a turning point when you look straight at your purpose and move forward toward your goals. And bring a girlfriend, and her goals, along to share in the journey. When you’re on your course with purpose, you’ll find the power. And, together – We Can Do It! Life really is better together – with your girlfriends!

It was a BIG week here in Girlfriendology-land!
We’re excited to be included in the Cincinnati.com (aka: Cincinnati Enquirer) Blog Network! Girlfriendology will be a featured blog along with girlfriend bloggers Stephanie, Michelle, Julie, Lauren, Caitlin, Molly and Kelly! (If you know any of them, you know we’re in GREAT company!)
We’ll still be the inspiring, appreciative, fun, friend-filled site we’ve always been, just with some more local girlfriends joining in the conversation. And, in being a friend to our city, there will be a Saturday Cincinnati blog with updates for women like the upcoming Cincinnati Women Bloggers meeting (8/22, 10am, at the Cincinnati Ballet) and all our local festivities for National Women’s Friendship Day like girlfriends dinner with Cooking With Caitlin and a ‘Girlfriends Day at the Ballet‘ on 9/20!

More Cincinnati news: We are featured in this week’s “Cincy Chic” (the local online publication and events for women). Check it out!
See if you can find the Girlfriendology ‘gal’ (with pink highlights!) SHAKIN’ it at BowlHer in this fun video! And …

“I want to be a woman of substance.”
Paula Deen
How do you want to live your life? How do you want to be remembered? As a great mom, faithful partner or brilliant leader? As a creative genius, brave survivor or cheerful giver?
No matter what the titles you choose to wear, underneath lies your true ’skin.’ Your qualities and characteristics show through the layers of names we wear, the banners we carry and the insecurities we hide behind.
As a real friend, and with our real friends, we can let down our shield and be our true self. We know we’re loved and accepted just the way we are. And, we know our friends see the inside of us, beneath the armor that we use to deflect people from seeing our vulnerable self.
You know how you see all the great qualities in your girlfriend? You know what she’s good at – even more than she does. You see the beauty in her, when she only sees the blemishes, wrinkles and imperfections.
Are you a woman of substance? Do you choose to be kind and forgiving? Are you a friend who listens, cares and makes life a little better for all those around you? Do you bring out the beauty in your friends?
We can choose to be a woman of substance. We get to decide to be a friend who lets others be their true self. It’s our decision to support and stand up for each other, and to claim the power and strength inside all of us.
Have a week of ’substance.’ Make an effort to do the little things, to listen and to look for the beauty in others. Then share it on Girlfriendology.com and inspire others!
THANKS Girlfriend! Have a fun, friend-filled week!!
