Happy Saturday Girlfriends! We’re excited to be part of the Cincinnati.com blog family so we’re going to feature our home town on Saturdays on Girlfriendology.

Not that we’re getting away from sharing girlfriend tips, inspiration and fun stuff – we’re still doing that. See, our opinion is that you know things we don’t know and we hopefully know things you don’t know, and if we share – we’re all better off! So, in the spirit of sharing fun stuff with your girlfriends, here’s a few things going on in Cincinnati that we’d love to share with our friends (aka: YOU!).

September has been designated as NATIONAL WOMEN’S FRIENDSHIP MONTH! It was just a day, Sept. 20th – now it’s a whole month! This day (now month!) was started by Kappa Delta – a sorority who understands how we need to appreciate and celebrate girlfriends. We’re celebrating in Cincinnati with several fun events for female friends. Put these on your calendar!

• Third Thursday cooking event with Cooking With Caitlin – Caitlin, Molly and Kelly are girlfriends who run this fabulous business of hosting events, shows, a website and more – all focused on fun cooking and dining. Caitlin, the chef and little sister of Kelly, will be mixing up some special savory treats for girlfriends for this event on Thursday, Sept. 17th. We’ll be at the McAlpin on 4th street. Sign up here!
• Fabulous, Fun, Friend-Filled Friday Wine Tasting – Friday, Sept. 18th. We’re confirming the details but we’re looking at wines from female vintners and other fun, female-friendly facts for women who wine! (Location info to come.)
• Girlfriend Day at the Ballet – We’re celebrating National Women’s Friendship Day on Sunday Sept. 20th at the Cincinnati Ballet with our girlfriends! Get your tickets NOW for this ‘New Works’ performance at the Ballet. (Tickets normally $45 and they sell out! Mention that you’re there for Girlfreindology event and you get the same tickets for $30 – plus we’ll have surprises and gift bags there!)
• Get HAPPY (hour) with your Girlfriends – Monday, Smunday. Join us on this otherwise boring night for a rolicking good time with your girlfriends. Balboa in O’Bryonville (2038 Madison Rd) will host this happy hour with free appetizers and lots of fun drink specials. And, we should have gift bags left over from the Ballet so get there early to snag one!
• And, plan on a few more surprises coming your way! We’re going to celebrate National Women’s Friendship MONTH in a BIG way in Cincinnati!

Other Cincinnati Updates for Women (aka: our local girlfriends!):

• Cincinnati Women Bloggers - This is a fantastic group of females who are passionate about social media and blogging. You don’t have to be a blogger – just interested in blogging, bloggers and are a woman! (Sorry guys!) We’re meeting next Saturday, August 22nd, 10:00a.m. at the Ballet (1555 Central Parkway). We’ll get a tour of the Ballet (such a cool building, wardrobe area and amazing local arts troupe) as well as chat about what we learned at BlogHer (the recent conference in Chicago for women bloggers – several of us attended). Don’t miss it!
• Cincy Chic – Our girlfriend Amy and her fun team plan events every week for women in Cincinnati to connect and have fun together.
