BowlHer & 5lbs of Hershey’s best Chocolate!

BowlHer 2009Mix wonderful women, bowling and chocolate – and what do you get? A FUN time.

THE BlogHer party (of the decade?!) will happen on July 25th in Chicago. (BlogHer is a conference for women bloggers but the party is open to other women in the blogosphere/social media world. And it’s a conference with lots of parties so this has some competition but watch out Chicago on that fun summer night!)

What’s the party? BowlHer. And, where’s the party? Lucky Strike. So, you probably get what we’re doing there! In addition to the obvious, we’ll also be groovin’ to Atlantic/Chop Shop recording artist Anya Marina as she performs in the swanky wine room at Lucky Strike!  http://www.twitter.com/anyamarina

Date: Saturday, July 25th Time: 8 pm – midnight
Location: Lucky Strike Lanes 322 E. Illinois St. Chicago, IL 60611
Phone: 312.245.8331
LuckyStrike Site: www.bowlluckystrike.com

Again, even if you’re not going to BlogHer but will be in Chicago, join us! The event is sponsored by One2OneNetwork (great company who bring businesses/musicians and bloggers together), Collective Bias (agency that helps companies real shoppers in social media and beyond) and GNO (fab organization that is doing great things for and with women).

The event will have bowling (optional of course), open beer/wine/soda, free hors d’ouerves, an entertainment stage with live music from major label artists in the wine room, a DJ with dance floor area, a photo booth, billiards, photographers, local press coverage and video interviews.

There is a charitable tie-in with Autism Speaks.  There are two ways we’re getting involved with them.  The first is for those who would like to attend the event but aren’t attending BlogHer.  Those people will have an opportunity to make a small donation to the event via the registration page.  Also, there will be souvenir t-shirts from the evening and potentially bowling shirts that will be for sale and proceeds will go to Autism Speaks.

I’m honored to be one of the BowlHer ‘09 Hostesses! (Like, really honored! These are fun, smart, connected, cool, GREAT women bloggers!)

Okay, so where does the CHOCOLATE come in?

I am and Army wife and mother of 2 that in itself should declare I NEED chocolate lol. I have 2 friends who are also army wives and mothers and this would be an awesome bar of chocolate to center a party around! Plop the kids in front of a movie with pizza and snacks and us at the table with this beautiful bar of chocolate and a chefs knife :)

I would share this with my sister. I am pretty that we would have to eat it in one sitting, though. We have six kids between us. Six children with unprotected chocolate could be dangerous.

I always try to share chocolate with my girlfriends when its that time of the month or when chocolate can make a friend smile because you are thinking of them.
