Could this not come at a better time or what?! After being on a fitness kick last year and dropping off at the end of the year when work seemed to consume my life, I took a huge backslide in my fitness routine. After having a health analysis at the job that came back telling me I had borderline high cholestrol, it was a rude awakening for me. I started back working out last month by putting out a public declaration that for 30 days, I was removing as much processed food as I could from my diet. It worked. I dropped 5.5 pounds, my energy levels increased, so did my attitude and I started running after not having done that for years. I have a renewed dedication to staying healthy and being healthy.
Making a commitment to not only improving but being dedicated to being healthy makes me one of the best blogger babes to represent in those cute outfits…plus, I am slightly addicted to fitness clothing. Can’t help myself!
I have been struggling with my weight, for oh…
for about forever.
Thing is, though I’m certainly not happy with the weight, I’m done putting my life on hold because of it. I have dressed the drab for way too long and I’m sick of it. I have enough plain-jane khakis and “slimming” black tops to outfit a small third-world nation. BORING!
When I think about shopping for Blogher or anything really, I cringe. Especially the fancy-schmancy stuff. I think to myself, ‘Why bother? Your blubber is there, best to just try to hide it and don’t get noticed too much’. But hey! My personality is not one of a wallflower, so why should my attire be? I need SlimPerfect to add some zing to my look and zing to my world!
Sure, I want to get fit and healthy, but in the meantime, I want to look nice and feel good about the clothing I’m in. SlimPerfect sounds like it might be just what I’m looking for.
It’s not easy in these situations to be fashionably-challenged – believe me! BlogHer is center stage for all things fabulous and the best dresser award would be hard to choose with all the contenders. I may not be ready to take top prize, but I’m betting with SlimPerfect, I could crack the Top Ten! So pick me and help me get my groove back, would ya?
I’ve had my ups and downs on the scale. Even at my tiniest, I have the mommy bulge that just won’t go away. It’s just skin, and I have to have surgery to get rid of it! Trust me, I’ve seen a plastic surgeon before, but do not have $6,000 to get a tummy tuck!
I am a T-shirt and jeans girl, and I don’t have much of a wardrobe option. The parties at BlogHer is what terrifies me! I currently have nothing to dress up in, I’ve never really had the need for all the fancy smancy stuff…until now. I would do anything I could to win this, I’m truly in need of a little black dress for the cocktail parties next month!
I’m pretty fit and healthy, I’m not the best built mom on the block, but after having 3 kids and still in a size 6/8, I think I’m doing okay!

My co-blogger, Lisa McDaniel Brown, and I are determined to make our first BlogHer a huge success.
Both of us have worked for years in the healthcare industry and pursue our fitness everyday. We’re the first to say we’re not perfect, but oh do we try. I can’t speak for Lisa, but I don’t own and little or large black dress. But oh how I’d love to have one.
So here’s my idea to fulfill SlimPerfect’s contest goals: If Lisa and I win (we’re a 2 for 1 value!) I’ll wear my little black dress to work for a week and blog about everyday. And since I work in a hospital, that offer itself should draw more than a little attention!

I would LOVE to win this. I’ve dedicated the last 13 years to my 4 kids and husband and haven’t taken care of myself. I’ve decided enough is enough and it’s time to find me again. Enter BlogHer- my first time away from my kids and/or husband EVER! I’m very anxious and I haven’t even thought about what to wear!
My confidence level has plummeted in the 14 years as a stay at home mom- elastic wasited pants and husband’s t-shirts and all. I’m so excited to have a reason to dress up. When I first heard “bring a cocktail dress”, I about swallowed my tongue- I have no such thing!
The idea of going and trying on dresses makes me throw up in my mouth a little- bulges are not your friend. The Slim Perfect dress is made for me- I just know it. I would rock that dress! Thanks for the chance to win!
I have finally jumped back on the fitness bandwagon and made it my goal to lose this extra weight I have gained over these last 3 rollercoaster years. I know it’s a lifestyle change, again. I have successfully lost 11 pounds so far, and by the time BlogHer is here I plan to be down another 4-5 pounds. Y’all know I’m a prodigal Cincinnati Loser. However! My 20-years-older boyfriend recently started working out and has seen some awesome results– so he inspired me to keep up! I’ve been heading to the gym, working weights (which I’d never done before), doing classes and either spinning/ellipsorizing for the past couple of weeks. I feel better and have more energy- but my wardrobe isn’t keeping up.
First, I’ve had the same stuff for years, and a lot of it– because I was (2 years and one divorce ago) 25 pounds lighter– doesn’t fit. I have bulges in my tummy (and I don’t have a kid to show for it!) and have a ton of events where I NEED a good little black dress- and instead wear stuff that only KIND of fits. I’d love something that both fits AND sucks in my bulgy parts AND shows off my better looking bits– it looks like a SlimPerfect dress would be… well, perfect!
I also have a work trip to Miami in a few weeks– South Beach! I need something to suck it all in so that I feel proud to walk down the boardwalk, not like a pasty, chubby midwesterner. I would be honored (and yell it to the Twitter and Blogosphere!) if you picked me!
