Dear Girlfriend,
For a good time - just get a bunch of women together!
Isn’t it true? There is a wonderful, fun energy that comes from having females around – from BFFs to brand new friends. So, our National Best Friends Day event last Sunday was a fabulous! Wonderful weather, superb surroundings, terrific team and beautiful BFFs – it couldn’t get any better unless all of you would have been there too! We had a BFF blast!
 Thanks to the girlfriends who made it all possible: STACY WEGLEY, professional photographer (photos will be posted to our Flickr group this weekend); Maggie and Megan from TANYA’S IMAGE SALON (who made us all feel especially pretty – and with no electricity!); to my girlfriends PENNY (who made a great BFF quiz and helped all day), CANDY (who’s a great event planner/helper!) and CAROLE for her support, friendship and these photos.
And thanks to the beautiful girls and women who spent this glorious afternoon with their girlfriends and us! Check out a few more of the photos from this picture-perfect gal pal day.

For girls of all ages (that’s all of us!)
Sometimes it’s just fun to pretend we’re young again. To remember back to a time when we didn’t worry so much and we played a lot more. Let’s get in touch with our inner ‘girl’ and enjoy summer. We only get so many of them and it’s just a great time to spend with your girlfriends (and ice cream)!

… What transforms a friend into the coveted title of BFF? We explored that this week on the blog and received the following comment:
So time appropriate for my life right now. Well, I guess I should say my 8 year olds life. When my Abby talks about her friends, they are all her best friends. I asked her about this last week and she said she wanted everyone to feel special. How profound! Am I the only grown woman who still loves to hear I’m someone’s best friend? Maybe so but I love it!
