I live in Chicago and have never heard of the "Megabus". Since I travel to Cincinnati and Columbus several times a year, I'm looking forward to checking it out. The Fairmont is a great hotel, and if you are looking for something more luxurious (and of course pricier!), the Four Seasons is beautiful and has a wonderful spa on site. Although you requested comments on places to stay, I would like to add that there's a wonderful local website called "SeeMore Shopping", which is updated regularly and is a very thorough
site that gives valueable information about shopping in Chicago. Boutiques and retail stores can be found by category, location, etc. Check out the shops in Bucktown along Damen Avenue if you're wanting to stray from Michigan Avenue. There are also favorite dining spots like "Coast" for sushi, which is also BYOB. There's so much here to do, and such a wonderful place for girlfriend getaways. Thanks for the article.
