My goal this year was to keep a gratitude journal.

I’ve done that in the past and it’s been a wonderful exercise and great reminder of all I have to be thankful for. It’s been a wonderful way to keep me focused on my girlfriend gratitude.

Fast-forward to April 30th and I’m not writing in it as often as I would like. Work, life, ’stuff’ gets in the way and things are hectic. Like, REALLY hectic. So, this weekly blog is a way for me to reflect on what I’m thankful for as well as (hopefully!) encourage you to do the same.

So, on April 30th – what are you thankful for?

MY SENSES - the Sound of neighbor children laughing and playing outside, and hearing chimes gently capture the wind. Sight – for the bright green leaves popping out of the Maple tree outside my window. Taste – for the massive amounts of coffee I consumed this morning – I love that! Touch – the gentle way my cat tries to sneak on my lap while I’m on the laptop, the softness of my dog’s head and way my husband holds my hand. Smells – of the Spring breeze coming in the window (with the children’s voices), the aroma of a neighbor grilling dinner and fresh sheets at bedtime. (p.s. Spoke too soon – now the neighbor child is crying outside my window!)

MY FRIENDS - I spent time with Carole, Becky and Jill this week. Anne, Judy, Judi, Karen Gail, Margye and Fabienne who came to a class I taught about Twitter Marketing this week. I talked with Allison, Lynn, Joann, Carol and Amy. It was great to catch up and be part of each others’ lives. To know the struggles and celebrations, plans and problems of friends is just part of an honest and caring relationship. I feel humbled and blessed. This is what life’s about – sharing our lives.

MY OPPORTUNITIES – Tonight I leave for SobCon (a workshop for online entrepreneurs which promises to be great!) and I’m excited to have this opportunity. I’m thrilled to work with a new web team to build Girlfriendology into a more dynamic and growing community. For the wonderful connections I’ve made, and will make  this weekend, I’m so thankful.
