Who do you look to for advice?

My college roommate, Barb, and I share shopping advice (and often buy the same things!). My girlfriend and one of the Girlfriendology Board of Advisors, Allison, often meets me for coffee, conversation and lots of business advice. My Friday morning coffee girlfriends, Becky and Jill, share their insights into my life and the things I worry about or struggle with – and I always leave feeling happy and blessed for their great girlfriend advice. Judi, Judy, Joan, Julie and other friends share their words of wisdom (and even wit!) with me – and I trust their advice and know they want the best for me.

I can’t – and don’t want to – imagine my life without them. Life would be lonely. I would be lost. And, what’s the happiness in a life without a great girlfriend to turn to for advice and support?

What makes you happy? Shouldn’t life be more about these things? The little things – like laughter, coffee, sunny days, new shoes, hugs, and spending time with girlfriends. My ‘girlfriend advice:’ don’t let your happiness happen by chance. Decide what makes you happy and make it happen. And remember that the happiness shared between friends multiplies – to each other and the all the people in our lives. Life really is better – together with your girlfriends.
