Girlfriends share … like Andrea, from MommySnacks.net
Girlfriends share. We collaborate, teach and help each other out, right?
Well, in that spirit of female friendship, Andrea from MOMMYSNACKS.net spoke with Cincinnati Women Bloggers this morning about her experience and advice on affiliate, advertising and money-making efforts through her blog. (MommySnacks is “a resource to fill you up with goodies on topics such as sweet deals, diets, faith, cooking, finances, daily living, and whatever else! Enjoy these zero calorie “Mommy Snacks” to help in your daily walk to Save, Earn, Live and Learn!”)
And, in that same spirit of sharing and teaching, here are a few of my notes from this informative and helpful session with Andrea:
- Sites/programs that Andreas uses/recommends: Coupons.com, UPromise, Share a Sale, Logical Media, CPA Storm, etc.
- She found adding Google Adsense adds to her feeds was worthwhile.
- Ad networks: BlogHer, Real Girls Media, Glam. (Each have 50/50 split and rules for placement, traffic, etc.)
- Paid posts: Pay per post, Izea, LinkXL
- And lots of affiliate links: www.tinyurl.com/alnvfk
- Referral programs: Ebats, Big Crumbs, Swagbucks
Check out her site for more info! And, she’s so helpful she posted a recap too that you should check out on monetizing your blog!
And, as a girlfriend, share things you learn with your friends and feel free to share with Girlfriendology as well. Life really is better – together with your girlfriends!
P.S. If you’re in the Cincinnati area and would like to join us for a future Cincinnati Women Bloggers meeting, just check out the website for info. We meet monthly on the 4th Saturday and have a great group of women!

I thought Andrea did a great job of explaining affiliate marketing and the many, many acronyms that come with it. I feel like I have a much better understanding of how it works and may explore joining some of the programs she mentioned this weekend.
Great seeing you at the meeting!
I agree with Shannanb – maybe that is why I am up too late again trying to incorporate all the wonderful things Andrea told us about. I’m so glad I joined Cincinnati Women’s Bloggers and now it opens up a whole new world. Love this site too. Now, I’m going to be up really late. lol.
