REVIEW: Crocs (we girls LOVE shoes!)
Do you have that ONE pair of shoes that you LOVE?
Okay, so many you have more than one, that’s perfectly fine. Maybe it’s one pair of boots, heels, sandals, gym shoes. To you they’re the ‘go-to’ shoes and you plan your clothing around them. I know I do!
Why do women LOVE shoes? Well, maybe it’s that they’re a great way of expressing our sense of style and fashion – like our girlfriends! Or that there are so many options – like our friends! Or maybe just because it’s part of our DNA?! I know I could have a huge collection if I would allow myself.
That’s why I was so excited to receive a coupon for a pair of CROCS shoes when I attended Blissdom (a conference for women bloggers). I didn’t even wait until I got home – I had to go to www.crocs.com while at the conference to check out the shoes. It took literally hours and website visits to deliberate over what shoes I would select.
First, let’s get you past the “Crocs” thing. I know some non-Crocs snobs. They find the shoes unattractive or just a little too mainstream and popular for their own sense ofstyle. Well, those objections don’t hold water (kinda like the original Crocs!) any longer. Crocs has expanded into boots, slip-ons, heels, accessories and clothing. There’s lots of options so you don’t have to wear the same design as your neighbor (or my Minister who LOVES his Crocs).
Now I’m already a Crocs lover. I have a pair of Mary Janes that my husband gave me for a birthday and, yes, I LOVE them. They’re comfortable and fun to wear. (I admit – I’m a comfort girl when it comes to casual shoes. They make me happy!)
And, while I’m admitting things, I fess up that I also own a pair of ‘faux Crocs.’ They are my outdoor projects and dog park shoes because I didn’t want to mess up my real Crocs or think of my cherished Mary Jane’s having the unfortunate experience of mis-stepping at the dog park. They’re not near as nice and I won’t wear them in public.
So, my decision for these Crocs was based on my current love of my Mary Janes as well as wanting something that maintains that Crocs-comfort. I found a perfect ruby pair of Alice shoes – much like my Mary Janes but without the holes. And, they’re RUBY so now I have my ‘ruby slippers!’
They’re comfy and fun to wear and I love that they now add a splash of color to my closet. But looking back now at all the shoes on the Crocs site, I see why I was so tempeted and overwhelmed! Check out the site and look at all the new styles and colors. I know you’ll fall in LOVE with some Crocs too!
p.s. Just a silly note on the color… I did have to get by what I remember Carson from “Queer Eye” saying about red shoes – that they should only be worn by small children and prostitutes! I LOVE my ruby slippers regardless!
Thanks Crocs! You rock!!!

I agree, I keep getting my kids all kinds of crocs shoes. Even the new school ones. I used a crocs coupon code to get 15% off.
