Review: The Wardrobe Boutique, Cincinnati

Where do you go when you need an L.A. night club worthy sense of style and you have a fairy godmother* to grant you one wish?
For me, that was a visit to The Wardrobe – a boutique in the Maderia area of Cincinnati (at the corner of Camargo and Miami). Owner Lesley Hern graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City with a Marketing and Advertising degree. Prior to that she also attended Bowling Green State University and graduated with a degree in Apparel Merchandising and Product Development. Since graduating from school Lesley has worked in the fashion industry for The Limited Corporation, Barney’s New York, Shiseido International, and Ralph Lauren. Most recently, Lesley managed a marketing department for a $100 million company in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her love of fashion combined with her vast business experience has led the way for her to follow the dream of opening her own boutique.
The Wardrobe not only offers beautiful clothes but they’ll also help you with your own wardrobe. And, as they say:
The focus of The Wardrobe is top-notch customer service. The Wardrobe will tailor all purchased clothing free of charge. If the store hours do not suit a client?s need, private in-store and at-home appointments can be scheduled. Special delivery is always a must for those crucial times, and rewarding clients is always top priority. If a client needs further assistance with personal styling the store will send Wardrobe Therapy personal styling gurus to assist for any event. For more on this please visit www.wardrobetherapyllc.com.
See below for more info – but I was asked to get some secrets, so here is Lesley and her ’secret’ (aka: girlfriend advice):
We found The Wardrobe extremely helpful in finding the perfect outfit. It’s a tough decision – they have beautiful clothing that makes me happy because their clothing stands out as not the same department store selection. I love that Lesley and her Wardrobe Therapy team can really help you with your own personal styling and that they give such personalize attention. I felt like Pretty Woman shopping at The Wardrobe. If you’re in Cincinnati, check them out and tell them Girlfriendology sent you!
* My fairy godmother in this case is the lovely and kind Amy Scalia – founder of Cincy Chic, the Cincinnati publications/events for women. She was kind enough to arrange a makeover for me before my trip to L.A. to blog about Frito Lay. She took it on herself to help me make Cincinnati proud at the swanky party at Coco de Ville with the gorgeous model/actress/dancer Brooke Burke.
