True Blue Crystal Flower Bracelet

Introduction and Materials

This bracelet was designed to match the True Blue Crystal Flower Necklace and True Blue Crystal Flower Earrings. I wanted a bracelet that I could quickly slip on and off since I expect to wear it often, so I opted for a stretchy-style bracelet design. If you’d prefer to use beading wire, you’ll need some crimps or bead tips and a clasp as well.

Here’s a complete list of supplies:

• 1 blue/green drop daisy component (Item #1316FY)
• 26 – 6mm turquoise fire polished Czech crystals (Item #3580GL)
• 4 sterling bead caps (Item #7303FN)
• 1 – 5mm sterling jump ring
• 10 inches of .05mm elastic stringing medium
• Hypo-cement
• Scissors
• 2 flat-nosed pliers
• Beadstoppers

Make Flower Dangle

1. Slip the jump ring onto the flower component and with a pair of pliers in both hands, close the jump ring.

2. Now on the elastic, string on one cap, one crystal, and another cap making sure the bead caps are “cupped” around the crystal bead.

3. String the flower component’s jump ring onto the elastic, and string on another cap, crystal, and cap.

4. Attach a Beadstopper to one end of the elastic to keep the beads secure, and on the other end of the elastic cord, string on 12 crystal beads.

5. Repeat the above step, switching the Beadstopper, and adding 12 more beads to the other side of the bracelet.

Finish Bracelet

6. Now, tie a square knot – right over left and then left over right. Pull the elastic to tighten the knot. If you want, since this elastic is so thin, you can make one more ½ square knot.

7. Trim off the excess elastic leaving about 1/4 inch on each end, and then dab some glue on the knot.

8. Now, carefully pull the elastic so that the knot goes inside one of the teardrop beads.

9. Allow the glue to dry (I usually let it sit over night) before wearing your new bracelet.

This bracelet will fit most people who wear a 7-inch bracelet. If you want it longer, just add more beads on either side of the flower and bead cap center of the bracelet.
