Girlfriends support each other. We’ve firmly established that, right?! What is really cool is when women support each other without being friends or when it is sincere and won’t bring them any benefits.

This Girlfriendology blog began in January 2006 as a way of saying thanks to my girlfriends for the gift of their friendship. It grew as I did the research on why we need girlfriends and expanded it to include inspiration, appreciation and celebration of female friendship. It continues to grow through the support and encouragement of my girlfriends – local women to distant digital BFFs.

No longer just me, I have a team of women who work hard to promote this noble cause. We’re honored to have been selected by WE Magazine as one of their 101 Women Bloggers to Watch.

We take on the challenge to continue to grow this community, to promote female friendship as a priority in our lives, to share the benefits of ‘girlfriendship,’ and to make the world a better place, one friendship at a time.
