Sometimes we take friendships for granted. And sometimes it hits us just how important those girlfriends are in our lives and we’re moved to acknowledge the wonderful gift of friendship.
Spirituality Girlfriend Guru Lisa Sarick took some time to reflect on the importance of friendship. She was also kind enough to share a fabulous drawing sent to her by one of her girlfriends. Thank YOU for being a friend.
Thank you, God, for the gift of my beautiful friend.
I am so grateful that our paths have crossed in this brief lifetime.
Please fill our time together mostly with joy and laughter,
while also allowing us to be honest and real
to help each other grow.
Sprinkle our relationship with gentleness,
and our words with softness and compassion.
Allow my friend to borrow strength from me when needed,
and may she see herself through my eyes
when she feels less than perfect.
May we become together more whole,
more centered in our Selves,
and more open to Your Grace.
May our friendship be a buoy that lifts us to new heights,
and inspires us to do good.
May it be a gift of Love to the entire world.
