The Book Club ‘babes.’ Your Mom’s group. Those ‘happy hour’ girlfriends or the funny friends who work out together. They’re our unofficial sisters, families … our confidants, advisors, caregivers.
Like friends from our past (school friends, girls we grew up with, fellow moms who’ve been friends as our kids did all the aging or girlfriends we just connected (at pilates, knitting class or volunteering together), we’re each blessed to have the friends whom we call friends. Blessed.
This week, all week – what the heck!, let’s recognize our ‘village,’ our girlfriend groups, our community of ‘sisters.’ Let’s be thankful for the amazing women who support, educate and inspire us. Let’s celebrate the women who make us better women, who care for us no matter what, and who earn the title of BFF (or GFF), AKA: sister-friends.
As a fine example, check out this week’s guest blog by Christine on the moms who are making life easier for her and her little love Liam. Aren’t you glad ‘it takes a village’ and that village has names like Julie, Judi, Barb, __________?!
Sheri Kaye Hoff experienced something no woman, no big sister should ever have to deal with – finding her brother after he committed suicide. For seven years, Sheri dealt with depression and a lack of hope. Thankfully the women in her life, family and friends, rallied around her to bring out the inner hope she hid deep inside. (See this guest blog she did on amazing women in her life.) And listen to her great girlfriend advice in last week’s BlogTalkRadio show.
This week’s BlogTalkRadio/Girlfriendology guest: KAIRA ROUDA. Kaira is a successful business woman who built a multi-state real estate company. But her passion? Writing an amazing first novel: “Here, Home, Hope.” Described as: “Desperate Housewives meets the Middle Place in this absorbing, witty story about one suburban mother’s journey from a midlife crisis to reinvention with the help of her husband, friends and neighbors.”
Join us Friday, May 20th 2-2:30pm ET (11am PT) for our BlogTalkRadio interview with Kaira to find out how this business woman turned author follows her passion.
If you can swing it by June 5th, you can still join us! (Okay, if the boat isn’t full!) We’re cruising out of NJ to Bermuda with our girlfriend and cruise director, Janet, and a bunch of girlfriends. Wish you were joining us!
Welcome to Judi!
We’re thrilled to have girlfriend JUDI COGEN on the Girlfriendology team. Welcome girlfriend!
