Do you have a girlfriend group? Do you play Bunco? Have a Book Club? Invest $, Craft or Exercise – together?
Do you get together with your girlfriends on a regular basis and have a ‘purpose’ to your group? (For example: reading, knitting, Bunco or movies.) Do you have a fun name for your group and possibly rituals that only girlfriends in your group know? Are you closer with these friends because of your group and the fun times you’ve shared together?
Having a fun set of friends, with a common purpose/bond, and meeting with them on a regular basis to do something fun is a great way to turn acquaintances into friends and friends into BFFs. Kinda like we were kids and we had our own ‘club,’ there’s just something special about bringing together a group of women to share time and experiences with each other.
We’re looking for Girlfriend Groups to feature in an upcoming book and some fun opportunities.
We’d love to hear from you if you have a girlfriend group or club. Groups should have a purpose or common connection – like girlfriends who invest financially together, gourmet girlfriends who cook together, an unique slant on a Book Club, women who get together on a regular basis for a trip together or to climb mountains.
We’d love to know things like:
- Who started the group? How? When? Why?
- Who all is in the group?
- What is the group name/purpose?
- How often do you get together? Why type of activities?
- What’s your favorite thing about the group?
- How has the group impacted your friendships?
- Advice for women who want to start a girlfriend group?
Girlfriend groups are a wonderful way of connecting with new and old friends on a regular basis, and we can’t wait to hear about your own girlfriend group. Please send emails to info (at) girlfriendology.com with your email and name.
Wouldn’t it be awesome to be featured in a book or inspired by some amazing girlfriend groups?! And, please share with your girlfriends. We can’t wait to hear about your girlfriend groups! Thanks friends!

OMG – You’ve got to see my recent post. I missed the all-girls weekend this year, a celebration we began officially at 40, yet I’ve known these gals since I was 13!!!!!!!

Here’s a blog entry about my lifelong friends. We’ve been renting a house together each year since our 30th high school reunion, so this is our 10th year of doing that. We have scattered from our hometown, but have remained close.

I also have 3 college friends, with whom I’ve been getting together for over 35 years, and a group who played bunco together monthly for 13 years, who still get together and have been supporting each other for over 20 years now….I’m blessed with some wonderful close friendships, in different arenas! I’ve had some GREAT TRIP adventures with various friends, including a reunion with some of my bridal shop employees, which had us inadvertently watching a desert sunset in a nudist colony, and cross country trip with a childhood friend, in the midst of a family crisis, when we were snowed in, and, with detours, a three day trip turned into 6!
