One of the great gifts of the holidays is the opportunity to see and share with friends.

I love how the weeks, months or years of not spending time together just melt away as we share life and time together with friends. It’s a wonderful time of year to reconnect and celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanza or just the true blessing of friends.

There are a few events upcoming in Cincinnati for girl and guy friends that offer fun opportunities to meet new and old friends and maybe even get some ‘stuff!’:

• Share Some Sugar is a new website started by a girlfriend in Cincinnati to encourage and assist people in sharing with each other. They’re hosting a neighborhood swap TOMORROW, December 13th. Here’s the info:

Have a tool that you have no use for? A piece of jewelry that you never wear? Or a weird gift that never came out of the box that it came in? Bring your unused items to our first Neighborhood Swap Meet. Barter, sell or give away your old stuff and leave with ‘recycled’ holiday gifts for friends or family, a hip ‘new’ holiday outfit or something totally cool that you would never find anywhere else!

Our first Neighborhood Swap Meet is co-hosted by local coffee shop, Coffee Emporium, local Green Store, Park +Vine & Share Some Sugar. Swing by the downtown Coffee Emporium this Sunday, Dec 13th from 4-6pm or RSVP Here.

**All unswapped items will be donated to CAIN (Churches Active in Northside), unless you let us know that you want to keep them!**

• Cincinnati Women Bloggers are hosting a HOLIDAY SOCIAL

  It’s that time of year again. The time when we gather for a little fun and holiday cheer while raising money for a worthy charity. It’s Happy Holi-daze Happy Hour time, and this year we’re bigger and better through our partnership with the awesome ladies of Cincinnati Imports. NOTE: You don’t need to be from Cincinnati, a woman or a blogger to attend! Actually there will be a fabulous group of social media friends who know how to celebrate! (There may be ‘twinking’ going on! Tweeting + Drinking, just a warning!)

  Join us on Monday, December 14 starting at 6 p.m. at Pachinko in Covington. $10 donation at the door, which will get you a drink ticket, some tasty treats and support the Welcome House of Northern Kentucky. The Welcome House “collaborates with the community to provide a continuum of quality services for individuals and families who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless to eradicate homelessness, foster stability and promote a just society.” Your donation and attendance will help this wonderful organization fund essential services for those in our community who need it most this holiday season.
