 Dear Girlfriend,
November, the whole month, makes me feel thankful. The beautiful changing leaves, the coolness in the air and even football season all remind me that Thanksgiving is coming.
I love the reminder of gratitude, the anticipation of being around friends and family for the holidays and the feeling of appreciation. I’m more aware of compassion, kindness, thoughtfulness. And, I’m humbled by the blessings of health, happiness, home and friendship.
As we approach the hectic holidays, let’s choose to slow down and focus on the true meaning of Thanksgiving. Take time to spend with our girlfriends. Tell them how much their friendship means to us. Look for ways to make their holidays less stressful or brighten their day. And, share our gratitude on Girlfriendology so we can inspire each other. For that, we would all be very thankful!

“Gratitude preserves old friendships, and procures new.”
Think of your most cherished friendships. Do your girlfriends know how much you appreciate them? Do they know all the little things that you love about being their friend? Have you told them how your life is better because they’re in it? Have you expressed the things about their friendship that you love?
Try a friendship appreciation experiment. Keep a gratitude journal. Give gifts ‘just because‘ and send cards with notes of thankfulness for their friendship. See how expressing your girlfriend gratitude builds your friendship. Note how it makes you feel and the response you receive.
