Girlfriend Picture Project #2 - Maya and Laura

Here’s our second entry in the Girlfriend Picture Project. Meet Laura and Maya! From Laura:

My best friend and I met in the neighborhood when we were growing up and that has been over 20 years ago and we are still best friends. We never went to the same school as we live only a few block from each other but were in different school zones. But that never affected our friendship.

We would spend just about every waking moment together and even work close to each other in the mall when growing.

She married her high school sweetheart who happened to join the navy, which then caused her to move away for many years. Though we did not lose contact by any means nor did our friendship weaken. But is was a wonderful blessing that 6 years ago I decided to relocate to San Diego with my husband to start our business that her and her family were being moved to San Diego as her husband was being stationed here.

So together again. She now works for me part time and has been a wonderful asset to my company.

So you can say our lives have taken a full circle and we now get the chance to see each other every week. In fact we have a ritual night out every two weeks to get our nails done together without anyone but ourselves.

There is so much more that we do, but I can only say my life is what it is because we have been friends forever.
